In 2012, Cheryl Mucha opened the doors of CFO Your Way to provide professional accounting services specifically to small-to-medium sized businesses.
So many small business owners try to manage every aspect of their operation in order to increase profit margins while keeping expenses in check. Cheryl has watched many business owners sacrifice profits because they don’t know the ins and outs of corporate accounting.
Cheryl does. She’s spent most of her career working with and for small-to-medium sized businesses, and has successfully demonstrated to many a nervous client the return on investment that comes from hiring a professional accountant: money, time, and peace of mind.
To overcome owner reluctance, Cheryl recognizes the need to provide services on a personal level. To her, that means going beyond bookkeeping and preparing financial statements. It means becoming part of your team and getting to know you, your employees, and how your business operates so she can provide the right suite of services unique to your company.
The benefits of knowledge and experience
A certified public accountant (CPA) with more than 25 years of experience in the public and private sectors and a small business owner herself, Cheryl knows what it takes to run a business. Her vast knowledge and experience gives her the ability to identify where you may be overpaying for services and suggest other options, or help you negotiate better contracts and pay less.
Prior to CFO Your Way, Cheryl was the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for three different family-owned investment/management companies specializing in various real estate niches, including the development and construction of single-family-home complexes, and the ownership and management of office buildings, retail space, big box, regional and strip mall shopping centers across the U.S.
Her early career featured stints as a senior accountant at a mid-sized CPA firm and the assistant controller of a manufacturing company before moving up to serve as the controller for a real estate developer of single-family homes. Cheryl is a graduate of Upsala College and a member in good standing of the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA) and the New Jersey Society of CPAs (NJSCPA).
